Our Animal Hospital Team
Dr. Manjit Jammu
Dr. Manjit Jammu, DVM, specializes in general practice and surgery. He earned his educations from BVSC, MVSC, and Purdue University. He has been a part of the Clearwater Animal Hospital team since 1998. He has special interest in improving customer service experience at the practices, and he works hard to upgrade his education every year through attending veterinary conferences and participating in hands-on wet labs. He has also earned numerous CE certificates, both for clinical practice and business.
Dr. Jammu is married and lives in LaSalle. His pet Max, a fourteen and a half year old Bichon Frise, is his four-legged son. When he isn’t working, Dr. Jammu enjoys lots of hobbies such as golfing and skiing. He likes learning something new every year or so. He also enjoys volunteering and has earned the United Way and Jazzpur Volunteer of the Year Awards.
Dr. Sukhpal Gill
Dr. Sukhpal Gill has been a part of the practice since 1998, specializing in small animal internal medicine. He earned his Bachelors and Masters of Veterinary Science, and completed his one year clinical program at Iowa State University.
Dr. Gill’s wife Ruby is also a veterinarian who has been practicing for over 10 years. They have two sons, the older of whom finished a degree in environmental studies from the University of Windsor, and the younger of whom is starting his degree in biology from the University of Windsor.
When Dr. Gill isn’t working as a veterinarian saving animals’ lives, he loves playing sports, running, and golfing. He also enjoys traveling and has a passion for landscaping and gardening projects.
Dr. Maggie Rockx
Originally from Burlington, Dr. Maggie Rockx came to our practice in 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph in 2012, and her DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph four years later. She spent many years working as a volunteer, foster parent, veterinary assistant, and veterinarian with different animal shelters and rescue groups.
As one of our newest veterinarians, Dr. Rockx looks forward to getting to know pets and the people of Windsor and LaSalle. She also looks forward to using her many years of education and experience to treat the four-legged patients that come in to our practice.
Dr. Rockx is the proud parent of four fur children: Serena, a New Zealand white rabbit; Penny and Bernadette, mice; and Belle, a long-haired miniature dachshund. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking, and needlework-type crafts.
Registered Veterinary Technicians
Ashley has been a Registered Veterinary Technician in the Clearwater Animal Hospital team since 2008. She earned her education at St. Clair College, where she completed her veterinary technician program, and Georgian College, where she completed a level 1 veterinary dentistry program. She loves working at the practice performing dentistry, offering client education, and scheduling front end client and patient appointments. Her love for animals follows her home where she has two domestic short-haired cats named Popcorn and Daisy, a Siamese cat named Noelle, and two Shih Tsus named Patches and Peanut. When she isn’t working at the animal hospital, Ashley enjoys coaching travel fastball, scrapbooking, spending time with her family, and participating in active sports like rollerblading and biking.
Cait has been a Registered Veterinary Technician with the Clearwater Animal Hospital team since 2011. She completed her education at St. Clair College and earned the ECVMA Award for Clinical Excellence. Her favorite part of the veterinary industry is the way that every day is different. She can never predict what’s going to come through the door next, and every new case is always different and exciting. Her own pets include Cornelius, a 4-year-old male blue dapple mini Dachshund, and Ruby, a 1-year-old female red mini Dachshund. Cait enjoys spending time with her husband Colin, gardening, painting, and other DIY crafts. She also loves to bird watch.
Ginette is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been a part of our team since early 2014. She graduated with honors from the Veterinary Technician program at Northern College. She loves meeting new clients that love their pets as much as she loves hers! It’s great to see people treat their pets like family. She loves to help them all! Her love for animals follows her home where she has a number of pets including Sophie, an English Bulldog mix, Wilson, a domestic shorthaired cat, Rubican, a domestic shorthaired cat, Zeus and Aussie, bearded dragons, and a ton of fish! Ginette’s hobbies include just about anything that includes animals and nature. She loves spending time with her nieces and nephews, and especially teaching them about animals!
Kristina has been a Registered Veterinary Technician at Clearwater Animal Hospital since September 2014, after completing the Veterinary Technician program at St. Clair College. Her favorite parts of the veterinary field includes performing radiography and surgery. She and her husband Jason have two pets: a Shar Pei Boxer mix named Rusty and an Australian Shepherd Sheltie mix named Dixie. Kristina, who is a self-proclaimed “human jukebox” who loves every genre of music, has been quite an adventurer. She has traveled across Canada via Greyhound and stayed in Kelowna, BC for 6 months where she climbed her first mountain.
Samantha is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been a part of the Clearwater Animal Hospital team since April 2015. She is a graduate of the St. Clair College Veterinary Technician Program and a recipient of the Windsor Essex County Veterinary Association Award for Clinical Excellence. Her favorite part of working at the animal hospital is being able to help pets through educating pet owners. She loves animals and her own pets include Kolt, a German Shepherd; Guinness, an American Bulldog; and 2 budgies. When she isn’t working at the veterinary hospital, Samantha enjoys horseback riding, cooking, and spending time with her pets. A little known fact you probably don’t know about Samantha is that prior to becoming a vet tech she was a roofer for 5 years!
Samantha is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has has been part of our team since April of 2016. She obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology from St. Clair College, and uses the knowledge she gained there every day at our practice. Her favorite part about working at the practice is helping our four-legged patients through surgeries, and performing laser therapy and digital X-ray services. Samantha is married to her high school sweetheart, Russell, and she is the proud parent of four fur-children, Stewart, Walter, Poppy, and Penelope. In her free time, Samantha loves yoga, reading, and figure skating.
Pet Care Attendant
Alex, our pet caretaker, has been a part of our team since early 2014. She is currently taking International Baccalaureate courses at Assumption High School, and her focuses in her education are in French, chemistry, and biology. She enjoys her time at the practice, especially taking care of the boarders and working closely with the staff. She always wants to aid in any way possible! Her love for animals is evident in her home where she has a pet chinchilla named Ludica. Alex loves books, music, and art, as well as being physically active, whether by bike riding or walking. She isn’t shy, but she is usually quiet.
Jessie is the newest member of the Clearwater Animal Hospital team. She’s been with us since the beginning of 2016 and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Clair. When she graduates, she plans to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam to become an official veterinary technician.
Jessie loves animals and brings with her a love and enthusiasm that’s contagious. She says that her favorite part of working at the practice is being able to fall in love with her field all over again, every day.
Jessie loves to dote on her two pets: a bulldog named Luna and a cat named Chauncey. In her free time, she loves watching Netflix, playing videogames, walking Luna, and creating what she calls “a killer breakfast sandwich.”
Customer Service Representative
Kelly, our customer service representative, has been a part of our veterinary team since 2009. She is continually pursuing ongoing education and she has earned recognitions in the areas of nutrition, medicine, and behavior. Her favorite part of working at the practice is building relationships with our clients and patients. She loves the exciting and ever-changing environment. Kelly’s love for animals follows her home where she has two Boston Terriers, Baxter and Abbey. When she isn’t working, she enjoys boating.
